Waking Up Early

5 a.m. Sunday rolled around again, warm and moist (sounds like I just described my cooter, huh ? I love that word: m-o-i-s-t, sounds so dirty) from some tropic storm that’s brewing in the gulf. I snuggled down in the bed and closed my eyes again, trying to get back to my sexy dream about Ewan MacGregor (I love me some Moulin Rouge). There’s something so relaxing about a Sunday when you don’t have to work or go to church, ya’ll. But unfortunately, I do have to work today (going on my 9th straight day without a day off). I know, I know, I shouldn't be bitching about having to work when so many people are out of work these days...But damn, you have to know that many companies hold that shit over their employee’s heads so they can fuck them over and not have to hear all the griping and complaining that they normally would.

I remembered how much I really enjoyed Sunday mornings when I was a teenager and my family would finally leave for church to pray for all those poor souls that wasn’t fortunate enough to be born Southern Baptist (I ought to know, my daddy was the preacher). The house would be eerily quiet, no clunking high-heels, loud sighs, farting (thanks, dad) and fussin’ for several hours. I fuckin’ loved it. I shook off Ewan MacGregor and pulled myself back from thoughts of the 80’s so I could get a much needed pot of Dunkin' Donuts coffee going (pretty good stuff, I might add). Try it, you'll like it and no, I don't work for them. Can you see me in a donut shop? Oh lord, I'd be big as a house, ya'll.
