Personally, I want to thank you for all the wonderful ballads and awesome dance mixes you gave the gay community.
I'm older than Moses and I can remember when you first came out (waaaay back) in the eighties. Every time I'd sneak into one of the local gay bars there would always be some drag queen on the stage "doing" one of your songs from the first album. Gay men adore strong black women and you weren't just strong, you had some pipes too, girl !
